My name is Steve, thank you for your interest in my photography.

My first experience with photography came in 2002 while on a 50 day road trip around the United States. Along the highway, I began to take notice of things that in the past had just blended into the backdrop of daily life. From that point forward, my life would never be the same. For the next few years, I focused on photography classes, learning traditional darkroom techniques before moving into a digital workflow. The camera became the tool that allowed me to share with others how I was "seeing" my surroundings.

In 2006, I created Progressive Focus Photographic, as an avenue to share my work. Since that time I have had the opportunity to photograph weddings, commercial products, portraits, events, engagements, maternity, and a large volume of personal work.

I photograph because I love it. I love composition, light, shapes, texture, detail, and most of all, being present and "seeing" the world around me.

 I’m a blessed Husband and Father of two amazing Children.

Progressive Focus is based in the Sierra Nevada Mountains near Yosemite National Park.
